Here you will find current news and updates about what projects I am working on.
CT GrafiX
I am currently launching a new side project in order to help broaden my portfolio. I am currently accepting offers to create a variety of digital media for individuals and/or companies who might be interested. For more information, click the CT GrafiX tab or GO HERE
Rhythm & Hues Studios
College days are past and I am now working for Rhythm and Hues Studios as a Operations and Render Administrator. I can't say enough good things about this company. It is by far the best job that I have ever had. I am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to work along with all of the talented artists and Systems Operations personnel here. Not to mention that the weather is always beautiful here in LA. From here, I hope to gain experience and move into an artistic position such as a compositor or a lighting TD. I wish all the best to my Purdue pals and friends back home in their endeavors. May your dreams take flight!
Bell Tower Magazine
I was recently informed that a short story (Beginning and the End) and poem (Guardian Devil) that I submitted several months ago were recently published and featured in the 2011 Bell Tower Magazine. Although my writings and poetry works are not featured on this website, feel free to check them out at www.ctuley.deviantart.com, or pick up a copy of the 2011 Bell Tower Magazine.
Undergraduate Poster Symposium 2011
My colleagues from Media4orce and I presented our research project in the Purdue Undergraduate Poster Symposium 2011. It was a fantastic experience and our project was well received. Two other teams from CGT 411/450 course, Plain Mechanics and Strategic Staging, actually received awards at the Symposium. I believe that this was the first time that our department won awards in the symposium. Congratulations to those teams. Well Done!
Purdue College of Technology Computer Animation Contest 2011. 4-5-11
I have recently submitted the animated short 'Catnap Caper' to the 2011 'Get Animated' Contest held on April 12th. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive awards. Judging will take place on the 12th and the top 3 will be awarded and judged on the the 13th. Catnap Caper was a joint production of myself, Jason Zhao, and Matt Sacchitella. Wish us luck!
Bats Wireless
I am currently doing some animations to improve product visualization for the clients of Bats Wireless. Thus far, most of the animations will be done in Adobe Flash which is a program that I am not too familar with, however, I welcome the experience. For more information about Bats Wireless check out their website here
Westwood Art Show. 2-9-11
I have submitted a few pieces (Hour Glass, Space Pods, Dojo, and Golden Kingdom) to the Westwood Art Show here in West Lafayette, IN. Westwood is the home of Purdue's President France Córdova and if selected, my work could be on display in her home from March -October 2011. The works also have the possibility of being purchased for inclusion in the university's fine art collection. Jury is Thursday, Feb 10 and notifications are Friday, Feb 11. Wish me luck!
CGT 411/Media4orce LLC. 2-1-11
This my senior design class. In this class we form our own mock companies and take on real world projects. Our organization is Media 4orce. We are composed of a dedicated team of design professionals in partial requirements for the senior capstone course, CGT 411/ 450 of Purdue University. We offer a wide range of media to satisfy most needs of the client. For the benefit Purdue University CGT animation students seeking employment, our project consists of determining the level of difficulty of transferring their skills from Autodesk Maya to Autodesk 3D studio Max and vice versa. As such, we are making 2 identical animated shorts using both software packages and measuring differences in time, stress, and the overall quality of each piece. Follow our progress here.
